Statistical computing and data visualization are increasingly important and necessary aspects of a data analyst job. Whether they are dealing with small, big, structured or unstructured data, data analysts are expected to be able to access data from various sources, apply the latest statistical methodologies, and communicate their findings to others in novel visualizations.

Generally all submissions and content remain the intellectual property of the party posting.

However, to the extent that innovations are enabled by the Companies, students agree to cede their IP-rights to the respective Companies. Innovations are to be considered enabled by a company, which provides necessary resources, such as the ideas or unique expertise of its personnel or access to research materials, data or equipment that are not available to the general public, so generally would not include money or non-proprietary materials.

Within the TELANTO Academic Business Network we offer workflows to agree to any type of agreement academic institutions, students and companies are willing to adhere to. Contents of those agreements can be adapted based on requirements of all parties.

Outcomes can vary from course to course, university, degree and field of study. In most cases solution proposals are reflecting the objectives set out in the original challenge definition (min. 3 objectives), based on which the teams then prepare/ run research, analysis, synthesis, conclusions, etc. leading to concepts in form of presentations, technical documentation, prototypes, etc.

TELANTO supports academic institutions to scale their action learning activities by bringing them into a digital format. Therefore, we establish long-term contractual relationships with univeristies or individual professors assuring that published “call for challenges” are taking place and that companies can expect a solution proposal for their challenges. Furthermore, TELANTO co-innovates with universities in order to extend its digital action learning concept and capabilities into other areas.

Students involved in TELANTO’s Action Learning programs are not working onsite since they get assembled as part of a given academic course in teams of 5 to resolve complex challenges. The solving teams leverage their universities infrastructure such as laboratories, libraries, faculty and coaching to come up with viable solution proposals. These solution proposals as well as the overall academic learning experience and performance will be graded after completing the course. From a Talent Relationship Management aspect companies can source passive candidates.

Depending on the duration of the Call For Challenge as well as the complexity and attractiveness of your challenge the hours students work varies. We have witnessed individual students working 6-8h per week on these programs. Making teams work between 30-40h per week.

In order for your collaboration to work, we ask you to go through a structured and simplified process. Once these steps are completed the actual project collaboration takes place virtually, giving you access to TELANTO’s collaboration space.

Since TELANTO offers digital action learning the participation and supervision of 1x student team should not exceed more than 1x company representative and an average of 2h/week. This however varies from project to project. Generally we have witnessed companies invest 1-2h per week to be on top of their student project plus the time attending a kick-off session and final presentation.
